CALLAGHAN, FRANK on July 19, 2010 at age 78, of Northport, formerly of Dix Hills, NY, after a long battle with cancer. Loving husband of Joan; beloved father to Frank (Theresa), Diane Dwyer (Robert), and Brian (Margaret); brother to Jerry Callaghan. Cherished grandfather to Mary, Tracey, Ann, Kerry, and John Callaghan; and Brendan, and Shannon Dwyer. Frank graduated from Brooklyn Preparatory School and Fordham University and was a retired Sales and Marketing executive. In the Navy from 1950-1954, he proudly served as a qualified Submariner on USS Bang SS#385 during the Korean and Cold wars. Life member of both Flatbush Council #497 Knights of Columbus and Huntington Elk Lodge #1565 BPOE. An avid golfer, and a member of the Huntington Senior Golf Club, his only regret was that he did not play more golf.
